php4 installation problems

Dear php users, I ran into a problem on my first php installation (php-4.0.0): php cannot find php.ini file. I have a test.php file in apache's htdocs directory that has: <?phpinfo()?> Here is what I get when I load this file via netscape: netscape http://galois.math.uic.edu/horde/test.php: SunOS galois.math.uic.edu 5.7 Generic_106541-10 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-4 Build Date May 28 2000 Configure Command './configure' '--with-mysql' '--prefix=/localopt/apachessl/php' '--with-gdbm=/usr/local/lib' '--with-apache=/localopt/apache_1.3.12' '--with-config-file-path=/localopt/apachessl/php/php.ini' Server API Apache Virtual Directory Support disabled Configuration File (php.ini) Path /localopt/apachessl/php/php.ini ZEND_DEBUG enabled php.ini has include_path set: include_path=.:/localopt/apachessl/horde/phplib However, netscape shows: include_path no value Looks like the php.ini is not being read, although the file is there: $ ls -l /localopt/apachessl/php/php.ini -rw-r--r-- 1 root 20281 May 28 15:38 /localopt/apachessl/php/php.ini Can anyone please explain what might be the problem?
