I have an application that requires a pretty hefty database back end, and
my developer is most familiar with Microsoft SQL Server and Windows NT.
Assuming that ODBC on the Windows NT side satisfies our performance
objectives, can I assume that PHP4 running on a Red Hat/Apache box has all
the support it needs to speak directly across the local TCP network to the
SQL Server machine?
I'm no ODBC expert, but there are references in the PHP manual to other
pieces of software that may (or may not) be required to do this.
Thank you!
