Our Oracle databases are currently being upgraded from Oracle 7 to 8i.
I've built PHP 3.0.15 with the Oracle 7 libraries and developed quite a bit
of code, currently used in production, based on this setup.
What happens when the dbs that I'm using are upgraded to 8i? Do I need to
rebuild PHP with the 8i client libraries, and if so, do I need to rewrite
my PHP code to use the Oracle 8 api
(http://www.php.net/manual/ref.oci8.php) instead of the Oracle api
(http://www.php.net/manual/ref.oracle.php) that I'm currently using?
What other issues do I need to be aware of during this upgrade process?
