I want to make a login page, and if the login is correct have the main page come up. But the problem I have is, after validating the login how can I make PHP open up a new page?
Right now users click a button and that simply causes the current page to validate the login using the data the user has supplied in text fields and if successful display a message.
But what I would like is if the login is successful have another page be loaded. AND most importantly start a sessions and have the user ID and password passed along. (but I don't want this in the URL of course). But I can't figure out how to make PHP get the browser to load up another page after a successful login.
Is my question unclear enough? ^_^
