PHP Loop Timout

I am looping a sockets program and a while(true) type loop and a few others that just basically go
on forever, or for a long time, and they just randomly timeout / die... without, what appears, any
decent reason. Does anyone else have this problem, and or a solution to it? Is there some setting I
am missing, or a release that fixes this? I am running the current cvs version as well as 4.0.6
stable...
