You for sure need: http://php.net/set_time_limit
Also, if stand-alone binary PHP gets a SIGHUP/SIGHALT, it stops...
If you find a way to get it to catch those and do clean-up, please let me
know...

Subject: PHP Loop Timout
> I am looping a sockets program and a while(true) type loop and a few
others that just basically go on forever, or for a long time, and they just
randomly timeout / die... without, what appears, any decent reason. Does
anyone else have this problem, and or a solution to it? Is there some
setting I am missing, or a release that fixes this? I am running the current
cvs version as well as 4.0.6 stable...
