I have been trying to fopen many files from many different web servers, but
am having a problem doing so about 2% of the time. I understand how fopen
works (mostly) and can open remote files. I even understand that many times
you need the following "/" on a web page to open it. However, there is that
2% of the time I wind up getting the error 'Warning:
fopen("http://file.to.open","r") - No
error in myfile.php on line 1', even
though I know that specific file exists.
For instance, one strange place I have found when playing around with this
is at BestBuy.Com. If I try to open any of their product detail pages I get
this error!
http://www.bestbuy.com/detail.asp?e=11000491&m=82&cat=86&scat=88
- Warning
Error Comes Up
http://www.bestbuy.com/detail.asp?e=11070538&m=1596&cat=1600&scat=1602
-
Warning Error Comes Up
Yet, on most other parts of their site I am able to open files..
http://www.bestbuy.com/default.asp - No Problem
http://www.bestbuy.com/PhotoImaging/Cameras/index.asp?m=82&cat=86
- No
Problem
http://www.bestbuy.com/siteIndex.asp?b=0 - No
Problem
http://www.bestbuy.com/splash.asp?url=http://www.bestbuy.sundial.com&keyid=C
ellular - No Problem
How come this error happens on only those detail.asp pages? From what I can
tell, detail.asp is not a redirect page.
??
Thanks for any help. I know there has to be an answer to this problem,
sadly I can not find it myself.
