Hello,
I saw this post and it made me think that over here in french canada we are
now accepting domain name with
accent. These domains are not yet used over the web because we are awaiting
final testing by the « Verisign Global Registry ». This is the same group
that decide to make domain names with accents available for all 28 europeen
languages. I think there will be some modification to be made in email and
domain name validity functions.
Here is a possibles list of valid characters that we will found very soon in
domain names (this is mainly for french and spannish only):
ÀÁÂÃÄÅÇÈÉÊËÌÍÎÏÒÓÔÕÖÙÚÛÜÝàáâãäåçèéêëìíîïðòóôõöùúûüýÿ
