Before doing session_register('username');
I am doing $username = $HTTP_POST_VARS[username];
and if I print $username it has a value
I am also doing a session_write_close(); prior to redirecting.
Possibly this is a PHP-4.0.6 bug. A co-worker said that register_globals
off broke a program she wrote that worked fine with PHP-4.0.4p1
