Hi Geoff, I take it you are trying to view the Word document using IE, if not, you will have trouble. If Word has been installed on the client you are trying to view the file on then it should read the file OK, try saving the document as RTF. This makes the file huge in size but it's good to test if object linking is working alright. Check out www.businessmeetings.com and select 'Press Releases' from the left hand menu to see how we have done it in the past with RTF documents, make double sure that you have the location correct and that Word has been installed properly on your client. As for simple tasks being impossible to accomplish, this is what's known as "Murphy's Law". KEEP TRYING, you'll get there in the end.
