variables not processing anymore :(

Forgive if this is basic.. newbie to PHP here. I have the following (which has worked for many many weeks with PHP 3): Form: <form action="mail.php" method="post"> Please Enter Your Number:<input type="text" name="number" value="" size="30"><br> Please Enter Name:<input type="text" name="name" value="" size="30"><br> <div align="center"> <input type="reset" value="Clear"><input type="submit" name="Submit" value="Submit"> </div> </form> Result page: Thanks for submitting <?php echo "$name"; ?>! Return to the <a href="javascript:history.go(-1)">previous page</a>. <?php mail ("tech@domain.com", "Another Number!", "Hiya! Here is the number information for $name: Number: $number Nickname: $name", "From: webmaster@domain.com"); ?> I installed PHP4 and now includes, mail etc. all work, but variables aren't being passed anymore. I'm terribly sorry if this is really basic, but I'm not sure what happened since installing 4. Thanks.
