crypt php-script and decrypt right before parsing

Has anybody heard about crypting/decrypting of php-scripts or done it?
Like: A php-script is writen and encryted using an external key. The encrypted file is held on the
webserver only. Once the webserver calls this file a contained clear php-script retrieves the key
from the specified url and runs a decryption. After that the regular php-code is parsed.
