Then what if we then suggested changing the footer to:
Official FAQ ( http://www.faqts.com )
PHP Resource List ( http://www.php.net/resources.php
)
PHP General Mailing List ( http://www.php.net/ )
To unsubscribe, e-mail: php-general-unsubscribe@lists.php.net
For additional commands, e-mail: php-general-help@lists.php.net
To contact the list administrators, e-mail: php-list-admin@lists.php.net
I think php.net should officially endorse
http://www.faqts.com/knowledge-base/index.phtml/fid/51/lang/en
as the lists Official FAQ,
and maintain/support something like
http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=php-general&m=94925395815382&w=2
on php.net for Official resource list
Maybe someone with some ascii art talent could even make the footer look
cool like the mysql list signature. I think that a redesign of the mailing
list footer would probably be welcomed, and in my opinion would indeed curb
this recent flood of redundant questions from being posted. Probably 60% of
the questions posted today can be answered on www.faqts.com
Suggestions?
