Ha! It is me. My real question is whether Zend Optimizer does any
optimization outside the of calls to the timer class.
Here's the reason:
I wrap every php script in a call to the Timer Class and at the very end
output the elapsed time.
When Zend Optimizer is installed and running it the Timer shows a script
slowdown of approximately .01 sec per script. Now these are scripts with a
lot loops so theoretically they should speed up.
But call me crazy- even though the timer says a slow down the page seems to
load faster in the browser. Does the Zend optimizer take some of the load
off of the web server speeding up its response time? Or: what the hell is
going on?
