qmail and php4.0.1p2 mail()

Is anyone getting qmail (via the sendmail stub) to take additional headers properly? I'm trying to write a form that gets an address and sends a subscribe request to ezmlm... but the headers are not being written correctly, so the mail gets sent with root as the FROM and REPLY-TO.. not matter what I try. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks Paul
