I'm pretty sure there isn't a way to do this - at least not in a varied environment. There's probably some hidden MS API to let you write a VBS to do this, but not in an average internet setting. I'd looked into this some time ago (97) and there was definitely nothing I could find then to do that - I say 'pretty sure' these days because I think someone somewhere would have started doing it as a virus by now (automatically attach a password file, or autoexec.bat or something) when you open an email. Another way to do this is to have PHP generate and the email itself, creating the attachment for whatever file people needed (if the files are coming from the main server). If the attached files are to come from the local drives of the users, perhaps create a small step by step process to walk them thru a file upload and then send that file as an attachment.
