Attachment by Email

Hi All, Sorry if this is a simple question but i'm stuck! I am designing the company intranet - on one page we have a search which lists drawings from a directory on a unix box - the users can then click on the drawings which open up in a new browser window with a plugin. I thought i had done quite well to get this far! They have now decided that they need to email these drawings at the click of a button. What I need is a way of opening up their client email program and automatically attaching the relevant file to the email, is this possible? hope that made sense, Thanks in advance Jeremy
