Use the 'engine' directive.
ie. for PHP 3
php3_engine Off
or for PHP 4
php_admin_value engine Off
Put these in the appropriate place in your httpd.conf file. ie. in a
<Directory> or <VirtualHost> block depending on how and where you want to
turn off PHP.
