The PHP ISAPI module destabilizes under heavy loads, so I doubt many people
would be using it. You'll find a mix of mod_php and CGI; mod_php has certain
security considerations and will probably be used for dedicated hosting
where the developers can be trusted. The CGI version can be locked down more
but you get a performance hit. However, performance even with the CGI
version will probably be surprisingly good on modern hardware.
