Hi,
I have received the following error using PHP 4.2.0 with Apache 1.3.24 on
W2k:
Warning: open(/tmp\sess_04521803c0d52b11a15affab18ed36a7, O_RDWR) failed: No
such file or directory (2) in c:\program files\apache
group\apache\htdocs\news_authorize.php on line 2
and I realize that says the tmp dir for the sessions data is not there, BUT
I have previously set my php.ini line dealing with this to:
; Handler used to store/retrieve data.
session.save_handler = files
; Argument passed to save_handler. In the case of files, this is the path
; where data files are stored. Note: Windows users have to change this
; variable in order to use PHP's session functions.
session.save_path = C:\WINNT\TEMP
(and there is a file named sessions.text in that dir)
just as it mentioned to do in the manual comments on php.net. What have I
missed here? The code from the offending page:
<?php
session_start();
$username = $_POST['username'];
$password = $_POST['password'];
$password2 = $_POST['password2'];
$loginForm = $_POST['loginForm'];
session_register(username, password);
Am I misusing session_start()? Thanks for any help or suggestions.
Kirk
