Quoting Pushkar Pradhan <pushkar@ERC.MsState.Edu>:
--> Your apache on linux must be configured to parse .html files through php
--> while your apache on your noteb.. must not, in your apache's httpd.conf
--> look for the foll. line:
--> AddType application/x-httpd-php4 .php
--> AddType application/x-httpd-php4 .phtml
--> so if you want to parse html files thru php add:
--> AddType application/x-httpd-php4 .html
--> this dir. is under mod_mime directive section.
I don't think I explained what I am looking for good enough. I am not
parsing .html pages as php pages. On the unix server I can type in
http://server.com/open (open could be open.html or open.php)
and the browser
retrieves open and parses it according to the extension. If I try to type the
same thing om my windows notebook I just get a 404 error.
I am trying to figure out why apache on the unix server will find any page
without an extension and the windows apache will not.
