IMO yes; for what are the reflection functions for? If nobody supports it, it isn't useful.Oh, come on Christian. Are you telling me that in the grand scheme of things the ability to query information about method parameters at runtime is crucial to the widespread use of PHP-GTK 2? The only thing it could potentially be useful for is a class browser like the one you wrote. I understand that it might come in handy when writing Java-like beans, but then you are worried about userland methods mostly, not C ones.
As we (?) don't compile PHP-Gtk every 10 minutes, this would be ok. A small configure switch could turn it off if wished by the user, but by default it should be activated. Maybe I can help with that; is there some documentation about that stuff? What stuff? Reflection? You can ask Marcus Boerger. -Andrei
