Uhh, so what did you do exactly? I tried editing a page and didn't notice any popups.. -Andrei On May 25, 2005, at 12:44 PM, Steph wrote:
OK, pmwiki's clear - but (not being a wiki-ite) I've no idea how you log in / prove you're not a spammer / remove the ? from the end of your name on the RecentChanges page. Hope that doesn't mean you now have as much work as you had beforehand... Can't we have a simple email addy regex test at the point of 'commit'? It at least shouldn't allow people with no name to update pages anyway IMHO. - Steph ----- Original Message ----- From: "Scott Mattocks" <scott@crisscott.com> To: "PHP-GTK Dev" <php-gtk-dev@lists.php.net> Sent: Wednesday, May 25, 2005 5:23 PM Subject: [PHP-GTK-DEV] Help with the wiki
Hello, It seems that a very dedicated wiki spammer has gotten to our site. If you have time can you please help to clean it up? The spammer added a section that says ==See also== 1 2 3 ... To the bottom of EVERY page. I have cleaned up everything except for the PMWiki section. Some of the pages I had to do twice because he came back! Anyway, cleaning it up is easy just tedious. 1) Click all recent chagnes 2) Click on a change from today or yesterday that doesn't have my name next to it 3) Go to the bottom of the page 4) Hit page history 5) Find a good restore point and click on the restore link 6) Double check that there is not spam in the textarea 7) Add your name as the author (if you don't it will be hard to tell what has been cleaned and what is spam) 8) Hit save Thanks in advance, Scott --PHP-GTK Development Mailing List (http://gtk.php.net/) To unsubscribe, visit: http://www.php.net/unsub.php
