Oh, that's no problem. In fact, I've even compiled a few times with the cvs source, but only by borrowing the gen_*.* files from my Linux system. What I'm trying to do is figure out why the gen_*.* files aren't generated under FreeBSD. My current thinking is that it has something to do with no detecting the OS (or environment) properly.
You might want to check out the /generator/* directory. generator.php does all the work of merging the .defs and .overrides to the gen_* files. Hmm, if its a PHP script after all, could it be that PHP itself is having trouble on FreeBSD? A missing extension maybe? - Anant
