Hi all,
Problem: No character shows up on first call to GtkEntry::get_chars()
Operating system: Windows, Linux, FreeBSD
Code:
<?php
function preProcess($widget, $event)
{
$position = $widget->get_position();
$char = $widget->get_chars(0, -1);
echo("position = $position, char = $char\n");
} // preProcess()
$entry = new GtkEntry();
$entry->connect("key-press-event", "preProcess");
$window = new GtkWindow();
$window->add($entry);
$window->connect_simple("destroy", array("gtk", "main_quit"));
$window->show_all();
gtk::main();
?>
Is this a bug, or is there some other value I should be passing as the
zeroth argument? I tried '-1' and it core dumped (which makes sense, of
course).
Please advise.
