i have an application that switches models on a treeview several times during operating and it works just fine. you just have to have multiple list stores for the different views you have - or you could call clear() on your current liststore and repopulate it.
$view = new GtkTreeView;
$list = new GtkListStore(Gtk::TYPE_STRING);
$view->set_model($list);

Hi, i´ve build a application with to view-modes in one gtkTreeView... a list-mode and a detail mode. If i want initialize the treeview, i cant do that with NULL (as described in the documentation). I need this, because i have a button to toggle between this two modes. Is there a way to full reset the treeview + model, so i can refill the empty treeview from the scratch. Now i have to restart my program. :-( Regards, Andreas
