I don't think that one function parameter change (ONE) dating from the
beginning of the PHP-GTK project justifies this thread. Andrei's usually
careful about BC, but that particular article - the original of which is no
longer online - was the first item anyone put online about PHP-GTK. I
know - I edited the article.
It would be easy enough to allow for a third optional parameter that does
nothing, but there's no point in doing that if there's not a general problem
and - put it this way, in 2.5 years you're the first person to mention that
this might be a problem at all.
Where else have you found anything online that was written for earlier
versions and actually won't run under PHP-GTK 1.0?
