I think you meant "clash". Yes, that's a good word describing my thought.

So I thought the following should work: $toolbar->set_style( GTK_TOOLBAR_ICONS); which doesn't, or I am missing something.

It works for me. Try the attached script. Does it work for you? It works when called from the callback function, but it does not work when I set the style in the constructor or out of the callback function
