I'll try that tonight and see what happens. I think it may have to do with the fact that I called show_all before trying to print the object. In you example, $win shouldn't have had a GdkWindow object when you called var_dump() because it isn't created until you realize the object, right? Anyways, I'll try recompiling and then run some more test. I'll let you know what I find. Scott
