You can probably just compile php using visual c++, it's very simple - just follow the instructions - this should be enough to modify the location of 'php.ini' - from there on you can modify the location of everything else.

Hi there, I've just discovered php-gtk :-) and would really like to use it as a cross-platform tool to install an application (SGI,Linux & windows). The application isn't too hard to install, but it needs to do things like download from websites and post info to online forms etc. PHP looks ideal :-) The only fly in the ointment is that on Win32, it seems to expect the various dll's in places I don't really want them to be (winnt/system32 etc.) Assuming I were to recompile from source, could I change the dll path to be ".", and bundle all the libraries into the same directory as the php executable ? I could then write a setup.bat "application" that did './php install.php' and Bob's your auntie's live-in lover. Assuming the recompile is a good way to do this, what's the standard environment people use ? VC++, mingw32 ? The win32-gtk port seems to prefer mingw32, and I've found an already-compiled linux-hosted cross compiler at libsdl.org so it would just be a matter of plugging bits together to get a decent compilation environment, if that is acceptable to php-gtk Alternatively, is there anywhere I can get an already-set-up php-gtk development environment. My experience compiling php suggests there will be several libraries involved if I have to recompile from source <grin> It would be nice to find if someone has already got such an environment :-) Yes I'm lazy <grin> Thanks in advance for any help, ATB, Simon
