you may want to consider using the hack I did to franks php_win.exe wrapper or even add a few more changes
- normally php_win.exe just starts up the php binary quietly eg php -q $args
original:
http://cvs.php.net/co.php/php-gtk/win32/php_win.c?r=1.4
however the modified version on phpmole
http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/phpmole-ide/phpmole/tools/php_win.c?rev=1.1&content-type=text/vnd.viewcvs-markup
adds the name of the php file that you want to start up - and adds some spaces to the path line.
the idea behind this was to enable anyone to just use a hex editor to change the info to their file/path etc. and rename the file - to emulate an executable...
anyway your millage may vary with it - its a very cheap hack :)

No need to recompile. win32 looks for matching dll's in the current directory by default (for gtk dlls for example). And for PHP itself, just set the extension_dir to '.'
