GtkClist / find_row_from_data

Hi,
I am currently experimenting with Clist. While I am filling a Clist I
want to look for duplicate entries like:
while getting data
....
$row = array("$filesize", "$file", "$user", "$hash",
"$size", "$href");
$list->freeze();
$list->append($row);
$list->thaw();
$find = $list->find_row_from_data("$hash");
echo "$find\n";
.....
The Clist gets filled, but in $find I find always -1 (nothing found).
What I am doing wrong?
