It does work, its just tempremental :)
- it works on memory matching, not string matching -
eg. (this is not exactly correct but you should get the idea)
$fixed_string = "some value";
$list->set_row_data($row,$fixed_string);
$find = $list->get_row_data($fixed_string); // will work
$find = $list->get_row_data("some value"); // will fail
Its used somewhere in phpmole - in directory list i think - have a look at the code
(grep get_row_data * -r)

Don't waste your time on this method, it is not really implemented. On Sun, Apr 14, 2002 at 02:46:33AM +0200, Hakan Kuecuekyilmaz wrote :Hi, I am currently experimenting with Clist. While I am filling a Clist I want to look for duplicate entries like: while getting data .... $row = array("$filesize", "$file", "$user", "$hash", "$size", "$href"); $list->freeze(); $list->append($row); $list->thaw(); $find = $list->find_row_from_data("$hash"); echo "$find\n"; ..... The Clist gets filled, but in $find I find always -1 (nothing found).
