The problem with slackware I think is the version of libtool, automake and autoconf.... I prepared a
package compiled in slackware 7.1 that should run fine in every distributions after that... You can
follow the litle instructions here:

"Baixe o arquivo" means "Download the file"... ;)
Or you can change the versions to:
(GNU libtool) 1.4.2
(GNU Autoconf) 2.53
(GNU automake) 1.5
and try to compile again ;)
