Hi all, i only want to share my opinion concerning the php-gtk sites and the wikki. first of all, regarding the documentation i think that 'User Contributed Notes' is a really good way to enhance the documentation. the gtk 1.x is poorly documentated and it's not only the php bindings which is concern by this problem. however all users can easily enhance the documentation by addings notes i think that's the good way and in my opinion there's no need to change the documentation, only to comment it ! What i would be happy to see on the site is a better search engine (the php.net one is good but the gtk.php.net is really poor why isn't it the same?), some more news regarding php-gtk, cause seeing one news by year let user wonder about the viability of the project. and we don't know anything about the gtk2 bindings, is someone work on it or not or things like that. there's no big portal to federate a community where we can share code samples or tutorials. I already hear some people saying that the wiki can be the site but IMHO it's not (or not alone). we need to share some files (as php classes for example) and can't do that with the wiki (or i don't know how). the wiki is defaced everyday for more than a year now and i don't think that first time users of php-gtk will enjoy to take time to restore the site before to browse it. I know that andrei and manuel think the wiki is a wiki and if you don't like what you see you can change it but do you want to pass your time to restore the work done before each time you visit the site? some wiki need to be registered before edit the content and i definitively think that would be a great things for the wiki and for its users too. Bref I'm really happy to see the list so active and hope that our community will grow up and that we 'll made better tool for US to work. best regards, nathan. ps: i'm fine with the great work already made, this is just my opinion on what we could do to improve our working tools.
