You need to have it built in on unix, I'm not sure of the last status for windows..Oops sorry, I'm on Linux (Sun Java Desktop System Release 2). Managed to find the home page on SF.net for GTK+Extra.
I't may not work correctly in the next release?? of GTK! as andrei's just removed the code that it needs to do callbacks from cvs.Ouch. As the code I'm working on now may be expanded upon by others into the future. It sounds like using it may not be good. Should it be considered as "deprecated"? Seems kind of a shame, as it looked really useful. I'd just coded up my first PHP-GTK app (totally new to GUI programming) and it used GtkTable plus a heap of GtkLabel and GtkEntry widgets. GtkSheet looked a whole *bunch* more appropriate and simpler to use. Maybe I should have been using some better kind of widgets in the first place? (Am just trying to create a multi column multi row output showing replication events for a database, being updated every 5 seconds)
I'm amazed you managed to find docs on it :) - did I leave them lying around somewhere?I was looking through the PHP-GTK website. The Gtk-Sheet stuff didn't look like it was in the process of being removed.... ? http://gtk.php.net/manual/en/gtk.gtksheet.php Thanks for the assistance Alan. I'm at kind of a loss as to whether I should bother installing GtkExtra, or just roll back my code to the GtkTable+many widgets version. ? Regards and best wishes, Justin Clift
