I know this is not a job board, but this is the best source I know of
reasonably qualified developers in the area needed. Please forgive me if I'm
stepping on anybody's toes!
I have an education-based application written in PHP-GTK I'd like to have
ported to Mac OS/X. It's currently developed on Windows with a Linux back
end.
http://www.charterworks.net
Total project size for the client frontend is currently around 88,000 lines.
However, the application is written with an eye towards cross-platform
deployment, so it touches the operating system in only a few key places.
Memory variables are already in place to determine which O/S will be used,
and file writes are constricted to a global object and one function for
producing output.
I need somebody to audit the sources in these few key places and come up with
the changes needed (dealing with temp directories, program directories,
paths, etc) to get it all to work under both OS/X and Windows without
requiring a custom version for each.
Also, I'll need two installers written (I'm using NSIS:
http://nsis.sourceforge.net for the Windows installer) to
update the
software. One for just the .phpgtk files, and another that also includes the
libraries needed to install. (php libraries, pdf converters, ioncube loader,
PDF viewer, X-Windows library, etc)
Lastly, the entire project will be encoded using the ioncube encoder.
(http://www.ioncube.com) However the installer is setup, it needs to be able
to take encoded files and publish them.
Is anybody interested? We're based in California, but being local is not at
all a requirement.
