should do the trick, what problems are you facing?

You can use the $window->maximize() method to achieve it. Atleast on
*nix, there is no part hidden under the taskbar...
$window->fullscreen() is an interesting method, but it hides the title bar.

Yes, it has. Again, what problems are you facing? Of course, you must
ensure that you have the latest CVS version of PHP-Gtk2. Detailed
installation instructions are on the gtk.php.net's wiki.

This is a tricky one, someone experienced can comment! As far I know,
you have to build a custom widget, since a GtkWindow can hold only 1
child. So you'll have to get into the working of a GdkWindow, or you
could play around with a GtkDrawingArea. There may be simpler methods,
but I'm not aware of any.
Cheers!
