pdo_mysql supports all versions of MySQL, theoretically, although of course the current 'mysql for php' project will likely supercede it. I was thinking of building pdo, pdo_mysql and probably pdo_sqlite into the win98 version as static, since upgrading them's probably not advisable. The mysql, mysqli, sqlite and etc extensions would be made available and would be loadable via the ini or dl()-able. (Note: we can use dl() on CLI/CGI builds now, apparently.) It's not the same situation for the XP build. It seems Edin's waiting for MS to supply him with the tools to produce official MSVC8 builds, and once that happens the upcoming versions of PHP will have the FastCGI/V8 option (that's the one we want for NT/XP/Vista). win32std's an interesting one... did you try anything else or was that the best tool you found for your purposes? xmlrpci needs looking into, it's not actively maintained at present and it's still in beta. Mike Wallner recently wrote an xmlrpc client/server duo in PHP with an xmlrpc dependency as part of pecl/http, so he's probably a good person to ask about the state of xmlrpci - he'll presumably have evaluated it first. exif's a good one... Thanks!
2k for development, deploying on xp. I use: + mysqli - Not really absolutely necessary at the current point, as I'm not using the advanced mysql functions yet, but may in the future. + win32std - file dialogs + exif - image tag manipulation Future, maybe: + TCLink + XMLRPCi Madeleine D. wrote:
These are the current ones we use: php_mysql php_pdf php_printer php_ssh2
