Hi Guys So i took a step back, uninstalled everything and started again, using the very good guide at: http://www.devshed.com/Server_Side/PHP/SoothinglySeamless/page1.html and everything was going well up until the installation of apache with php support. After the command: SSL_BASE=../openssl-0.9.7a ./configure --enable-module=ssl --activate-module=src/modules/php4/libmodphp4.a --prefix=/usr/local/apache --enable-shared=ssl --disable-module=auth_db --disable-module=auth_dbm which is a combination of what devshed and the BASE installation document tell me to do, I tried a make. Which got so far up until: <=== src/modules/ssl ===> src/modules/php4 gcc -c -I../../os/unix -I../../include -DLINUX=22 -DMOD_SSL=208114 -DUSE_HSREGEX -DEAPI ../../apaci mod_php4.c mod_php4.c:22:29: php_apache_http.h: No such file or directory mod_php4.c:36: parse error before '*' token mod_php4.c:39: parse error before "uint" mod_php4.c:40: warning: parameter names (without types) in function declaration mod_php4.c:41: parse error before '*' token ... loads of errors ... mod_php4.c:888: warning: (near initialization for `php4_module') mod_php4.c:888: warning: data definition has no type or storage class make[4]: *** [mod_php4.o] Error 1 make[3]: *** [all] Error 1 make[2]: *** [subdirs] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/sysman/apache_1.3.27/src' make[1]: *** [build-std] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/sysman/apache_1.3.27' make: *** [build] Error 2 Now I have done a google search for errors of the type "php_apache_http.h: No such file or directory" and there are only 3 pages, all msgs to a list and none with replies. The thing is, I HAVE that file. It is here: /home/sysman/php-4.3.1/sapi/apache/php_apache_http.h But for some reason, during make, it can't find it. Any help? Please? I am getting desperate!! Thanks Mick
