Re: Mcrypt and php make

Mike, I had similar problems when doing my install. I couldn't install libmcrypt, but did a "sudo ranlib /usr/local/lib/libmcrypt.a" and did a "make distclean" in php, then reran configure. My PHP built and installed fine after that. But...I have the problem that php does not recognize any ciphers for mcrypt that were installed. so my info page says "supported ciphers = none". I asked before, but no one seems to know any reason why this would be. Everything else works. Try ranlib and make distclean.
