Apache 2 and PHP

I have installed PHP 4.3.1 with Apache 2.0.45 on Linux, but have just found
out that the Apache 2 module is experimental (pre-beta). I can't use Apache
1.3, so I was looking for another way to connect Apache 2 to PHP.
Could anyone tell me advantages and disadvantages of the following methods
and which one is the preferred.
1. The old apache2filter.
2. The new apache2handler (available in 4.3.2rc1).
3. FastCGI
4. Java Servlet SAPI Module
