Hi Chris, OH! No I did not compile it twice. I did not know I had to do a double compile. So, I need to run the configure script twice, once with the --with-apxs option and once without it and then do a make on it. Right? Thanks for the reply. Thanks again. sureshHTH ChrisFrom: Chris Hewitt <g0pae@manordat.demon.co.uk> To: php-install@lists.php.net Subject: Re: [PHP-INST] Problem upgrading php-4.2.2 to php-4.3.1 Date: Mon, 14 Apr 2003 16:11:51 +0100 Suresh Kumar Karanam wrote:Configure, make and install twice, but I think this may be different on newer php versions with CLI. Check the readme for the release you are using.Hi, I have installed php-4.3.1 on my LINUX RH7 machine with Apache-1.2.x. I have successfully upgraded the dynamic php but when I do a php -v it still shows my php version to be 4.2.2. I tested the php version on the webserver and it is 4.3.1. I am not sure what is happening. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, sureshDoing "php -v" will run the command line version. When you compiled php 4.3.1 did you compile it twice, once for static or module integration with Apache and once to make the command line executable? HTH Chris
