Hi, I had a RedHat 6.2 with Apache 2.0.40, PHP 4.2.2, MySQL 3.23.49a. & They worked w/o a glitch. I repartitioned my disk & freshly installed RedHat 9. It currently has Apache 2.0.45 with the same MySQL(untouched). I run into problems makeing PHP 4.3.1. I tried numerous times and still ended up with the error(below). Because this error originates from the /path/to/php/mysql/libmysql dir, I thought turning on MySQL would help...and it didn't....so I turn to you... This is the error make complains: [root@masis php-4.3.1] ./configure --with-apxs2=/path/to/apache/bin/apxs [root@masis php-4.3.1] make ... Huh, I just read an old archive of php.net and someone said to configure php with a --disable-cli. I did and it worked! I opened up http://masis/index.php and it worked! I have a php bulletin board with MySQL functionality and I tested it and it worked! Perhaps this would help someone else? As Always, ...Robert
