Richard, What does line 239 of http.conf say? David Meyer At 19:06 29/04/2003, you wrote:
Hello, When I try to start apche with apachectl start, I have this message : Syntax error on line 239 of /usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf: Cannot load /usr/local/apache/libexec/libphp4.so into server: /usr/local/apache/libexec/libphp4.so: undefined symbol: mkstemp64 /usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl start: httpd could not be started I have tried to recompile my old PHP, upgrading PHP, recompiling apache, I always have the same type of error. The only thing which is different is : mkstemp64. Once, it is "undefined symbol: compress", once it is "undefined symbol: uncompress" and the last attempt is "undefined symbol: mkstemp64". But I always have "Cannot load /usr/local/apache/libexec/libphp4.so into server". Well, I'm a bit nervous because it is on a production server ;-( where PHP, MySQL and apache used to work. I had to make a little change in MySQL! So, how can I solve this issue (problem of "Cannot load /usr/local/apache/libexec/libphp4.so into server") Thanks very much for your quick reply. Note : apache 1.3.19 (source) compiled with DSO
       first PHP : 4.0.6 (source)
       upgraded PHP : 4.3.1 (source)
MySQL : 4.0.12 (binary and source tested) Before was 3.22.32
       RedHat GNU/Linux 6.2
