Unfortunately, this couldn't be avoided, as most of what's in /usr/local was put there by the rpms I needed, but those add such dupes of headers and they're needed... > Are there any other dupes left now? Did you run "make distclean; I renamed the dupes causing the collision so they can't be picked up, and I run the whole build with a shell script that has all my stuff in it, including running a distclean every time it's built. > ./config.nice" after cleaning these dupes? here: #! /bin/sh # # Created by configure CFLAGS='-O2 -pthread' \ CC='cc' \ './configure' \ '--prefix=/usr/local/apache' \ '--with-apxs2=/usr/local/apache/bin/apxs' \ '--with-config-file-path=/usr/local/apache/conf' \ '--with-java=/usr/opt/java131' \ '--with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql' \ '--with-zlib-dir=/usr/local' \ '--with-openssl=/usr/ssl' \ '--with-iconv=/usr/local' \ '--with-mm=/usr/local/mm' \ '--with-ndbm=/usr' \ '--with-dbm=/usr' \ '--with-unixODBC' \ '--with-flatfile' \ '--with-cpdflib' \ '--with-bz2' \ '--with-zlib' \ '--with-gd' \ '--disable-cgi' \ '--enable-dba' \ '--enable-mbregex' \ '--enable-mbstring' \ '--enable-sigchild' \ '--enable-mime-magic' \ '--enable-memory-limit' \ '--enable-gd-native-ttf' \ '--enable-debug' \ "$@" > You can also try if > > env CC="cc -I/usr/include" ./configure your_configure_options here's my configure "line" out of my build script: CC="cc" CFLAGS="-O2 -pthread" \ ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/apache \ --with-apxs2=/usr/local/apache/bin/apxs \ --with-config-file-path=/usr/local/apache/conf \ --with-java=/usr/opt/java131 \ --with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql \ --with-zlib-dir=/usr/local \ --with-openssl=/usr/ssl \ --with-iconv=/usr/local \ --with-mm=/usr/local/mm \ --with-ndbm=/usr \ --with-dbm=/usr \ --with-unixODBC \ --with-flatfile \ --with-cpdflib \ --with-bz2 \ --with-zlib \ --with-gd \ --disable-cgi \ --enable-dba \ --enable-mbregex \ --enable-mbstring \ --enable-sigchild \ --enable-mime-magic \ --enable-memory-limit \ --enable-gd-native-ttf \ --enable-debug (just like the config.nice...) See above. I don't think /usr/include needs to be specified, it seems to find those things by itself, and the stuff in /usr/local seems found fine with adding that to the cflags, I guess because the --with options tells it where to get that stuff... The thing is, I was able to build 4.3.0 all the way before... I'll give a shot at rc2 right now... -- Didier Godefroy mailto:dg@ulysium.net
