Hello All,
I'd like to know if I can build PHP 4.x on a Intel Linux box so that it can
connect to a Solaris box on another machine.
If so how?
I've attempted to build with the following:
./configure --with-apache=../apache_1.3.14 --with-oracle --enable-track-vars
Here's the error message that I'm getting:
checking for Oracle-ORACLE support... yes
checking Oracle Install-Dir...

Notice:
If you encounter <defunc> processes when using a local Oracle-DB
please recompile PHP and specify --enable-sigchild when configuring
(This problem has been reported un Linux using Oracle >= 8.1.5)

Please keep in mind that the Oracle DB is on a Sun Solaris box and
Apache/PHP on a Intel Linux box.
Thanks
Andy
