php4, windowsME, and pws4.

Morning all. I am having problems getting php4 (the win32 binary, version 4.0.4, with the automatic install) working. I am installing it onto a windows ME system, that has pws 4 running on it (have confirmed the pws is running). Yet whenever i try and run a php page on the system, it doesn't bother processing the php (It is running from a execute enabled folder) part of it. Only what is outside of the <? ?> parts. This combination works fine on windows 98, as I had them working together fine not long ago (the same version of php, and pws), however it doesn't seem to want to work with ME. Is this somthing to do with ME, as that is the only thing Ii can think of, and if so, is there a solution###/ Any help would be appreciated.
