I did that. It still doesn't create that file and i receive no error
messages. The only similiar file it creates
in the my_apache_install_dir/src/modules/php4 are:
libmodphp4.a
libphp4.module
There are 9 total files in the dir including the two above. Here are the
commands I ran:
gzip -d apache_1.3.14.tar.gz | tar xvf -
gzip -d php-4.0.4.tar.gz | tar xvf -
cd apache_1.3.14
./configure --prefix=/usr/local/apache
cd ../php-4.0.4
./configure --with-apache=../apache_1.3.14 --with-mysql
make
make install
cd ../apache_1.3.14
./configure --activate-module=src/modules/php4/ ????????
That's when I can't find libphp4.a - the php.net web site says that that's
the file's name, yet the install didn't create it.Any ideas? The devshed
article Steve refered me to says the same thing...
