Hi,
httpd dies silently without any message in the apache log file if the
libphp3.so module is activated in the httpd.conf file. The problem has
been the same with two versions of Apache (1.3.9 & 1.3.12).
I have seen several times this kind of problem on this forum but they
were all diagnosed as a problem related to mysql. I have tried without
mysql support and the problem is the remains.
My system is based on GNU/Linux 2.2 with glibc 2.1 (CorelLinux 1.2).
I have used the Apache binary
"apache_1_3_12-i686-whatever-linux2_tar.gz"
I have used php-3_01_16_tar.gz then configure it:
./configure --with-apxs=/usr/local/apache/bin/apxs --enable-track-vars
make
make install
Any help will bne much appreciated.
Marc.
